CLINTON, MS (10.14.17) - Both UT Dallas cross country programs competed in their final regular season warmups Saturday morning as the Comet men and women both finished in fourth place at the Mississippi College Invitational.
On the women's side, senior
Lindsey Rayborn continued her stellar campaign with a third-place finish ina time of 19:01 in the five-kilometer race.
Hollee Ratliff placed 22nd at 20:20, Samantha Tshirhart was 26th at 20:40,
Gina Fossati was 31st at 21:02 and
Megan Lutchman 43rd at 21:27.
The Comets were the top NCAA Division III program in the "College" division with NCAA D-II program Alabama-Huntsville winning the meet with 34 points. NAIA school Blue Mountain was second with a 69 points while host and NCAA D-II program Mississippi College was third at 90 points. UTD finished with 115 points.
For the men,
John Will was the Comets' top finisher in the eight-kilometer race with a time of 27:56.
Andres Uriegas was 22nd at 28:06,
John Gabriel was 33rd at 28:40,
Alireza Nourani was 34th at 28:42 and
Jorgediego Rivera Moyet was 37th at 28:57.
UAH also claimed the men's title in the "College" division with 25 points with William Carey a close second with 41 points. Texas-Tyler was in third with 135 points, just two points ahead of the Comets.
