    Volunteer Assistant Men's Soccer Coach
Jack Peel began the UT Dallas men's soccer program in 1998 and retired in early 2013 after leading the Comets to 15 successful seasons. Peel has also served as the Comets' volunteer assistant since 2014. 

In his 15 seasons at the helm, Peel's teams failed to experience a losing season, and, en route to compiling a staggering 193-77-23 record, he earned four American Southwest Conference Coach of the Year awards (1998, 1999, 2002, 2004).

Peel's teams qualified for the postseason 10 of his final 11 years (2002-12), advanced to the conference championship game five times and captured ASC titles in 2004 and 2007. His teams held an 139-31-14 record against ASC competition.

Prior to joining the UTD staff, Peel coached over 10 years in the Carrollton (Texas) ISD -- first at R.L. Turner High School (1979-84), then at Newman Smith High School (1992-96). He was also an assistant women's soccer coach at Baylor University (1996-98), where his teams recorded a 31-9-2 record and were the top-ranked new program in the country.

A native of Garland, Texas, Peel played both tennis and soccer in high school before earning his BS degree from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas (1977) and an MS in Physical Education in 1981. He holds a USSF "A" License and NSCAA Premier Diploma.
