Wilson finished the game 3-for-5 from the plate with three runs scored as the Comets jumped out to an early lead and then had to fight off McMurry after a late rally.

The Comets plated six runs in the top of the 2nd, including a three-run long ball by Wilson to secure a 6-0 advantage. After giving a run back in the bottom of the frame, UTD regained a six-run lead in the 4th with a Wilson solo shot, her sixth of the season.

The host War Hawks then plated five runs on five hits and a UTD error in the bottom of the 4th to draw with a run, 7-6. The Comets plated a single run in the 5th on a Hope Griffith single up the middle, scoring pinch-runner Kenneday Zimmerman, before adding three final runs in the 6th. Wilson picked up her fifth RBI of the game with one out in the 6th, plating Melissa Livermore with a single to left. UTD added RBI singles from Amber Williams and Emily Schroeder in the 6th.
