RICHARDSON, TX (04.28.18) - The UT Dallas softball wrapped up the regular season Saturday afternoon with an 8-2 home loss to Concordia Texas, wrapping up a three-game American Southwest Conference series with the Tornados.
The Comets ended the regular season with a 23-17 overall record and tied for fourth place in the ASC with a 19-11 league mark. UTD will serve as the No. 5 seed in next week's ASC Tournament in Tyler with the Comets making their third-straight postseason appearance.
UTD fell behind early with four Tornado runs in the top of the 2nd and gave up four more runs in the 7th on a pair of CTX home runs. The Comets posted a single run in the 3rd on an

Melissa Livermore. UTD then added a single run in the 4th with a two-out, bases-loaded walk drawn by
Ravin Wilson, scoring
Hope Griffith.
Karen Crane (14-8) was handed the loss, giving up five earned runs on nine hits in 6.2 innings of work. She struck out one batter with no walks. Livermore and senior
Stefanie Polderman were each 2-for-3 from the plate.
Prior to the contest, UTD recognized seniors Polderman and
Samantha Halliburton to their contributions to the program. The duo have been part of 100 wins during their four-year careers, tying the most of any senior class in program history.
