BELTON, TX (11.05.21) - The UT Dallas men's soccer team's 2021 season came to a close Friday night with a 1-0 loss to Concordia Texas in the semifinals of the ASC Championship Tournament, hosted by top-seeded Mary Hardin-Baylor.

The Comets wrapped up the fall campaign with a 10-5-4 overall record and served as the No. 3 seed in this year's ASC Tournament. UTD was making its 21st all-time appearance in the postseason in the program's 24-year history, qualifying for the last 12 consecutive league tournaments.
No. 2-seeded Concordia Texas broke open the scoreless game in the 62nd minute with an unassisted goal by Timothy Barney. The Tornados out-shot UTD by just 12-9, but amassed an 11-2 advantage in shots on goal in the contest. Comet keeper
Trey Nickel closed the night with a career-high 10 saves.
Kane Kidwell the Comet offensive attack with four shots, one on frame, while five other UTD players took a single shot. The Comets took five shots over the opening half while taking just four shots in the final 45 minutes. UTD managed just one corner kick and was not called offside in the contest.

Jardel Kuate were named tot he ASC All-Tournament Team.
