Box Score LONGVIEW, TX (03.10.21) - Sophomore Hashem Shehata netted the game-winner in the 74th minute to lift the UT Dallas men's soccer to a 2-1 road win over LeTourneau Wednesday night in American Southwest Conference play.

The Comets (now 2-0) will host LeTourneau at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the UTD Soccer Field in an attempt to sweep the season series against the YellowJackets.

UTD's Nahome Abraham opened the scoring in the 35th minute, assisted by Brandon Buchanan, to lift the Comets to a 1-0 lead at the break. The YellowJackets tallied the equalizer in the 53rd minute to set up Shehata's late game-winner.

The Comets out-shot LETU, 19-2, and finished the victory with eight shots on goal. Arturo Ponce and Jardel Kuate led the Comets with three shots each. John Nicknish played the full 90 minutes in goal for the Comets, making one save.
