RICHARDSON, TX (03.05.21) - The UT Dallas men's tennis team returned to action Friday for a pair of non-conference matches with NCAA Division I foe Oral Roberts and American Southwest Conference West Division member Hardin-Simmons.

The Comets (now 1-3) opened Friday with a 7-0 loss to ORU before falling to the Cowboys, 6-3, later in the day.

In the afternoon match against HSU, the Comets picked up a win at No. 2 doubles by John Edwards and Ritvik Ganesan, 8-6, but still trailed the Cowboys, 2-1, heading to singles action. UTD was then only able to pick up two singles wins as Edwards (No. 2) and Nick Boquet (No. 4) each earned straight-set victories.

The Comets return to action Saturday with two more home matches. UTD will open ASC East play at 10 a.m. against Ozarks before hosting McMurry at 2 p.m.
