SHREVEPORT, LA (09.19.21) - Nahome Abraham netted the game-winning tally in the 88th minute as the UT Dallas men's soccer team earned a hard-fought 1-0 road win over Centenary Sunday night in non-conference play.
The Comets (4-2-1) wrapped up its non-conference schedule with Sunday's win over the Gents and will open the ASC slate Thursday night with a 7:30 p.m. home game with Sul Ross State.
Abraham's first goal of the fall helped the Comets avoid overtime for the second time this season as he scored unassisted. The Comets out-shot Centenary, 18-10, and closed the match with nine shots on frame.
Kane Kidwell led UTD with five shots while
Riley O'Donnell took four shots and
Alejandro Suarez had three shots.
The Comet defense limited Centenary to just one shot on frame on the night with UTD keeper
Trey Nickel posting the shutout with one save.
