ABILENE, Texas - UT Dallas sophomore
Aryan Sharma reached the consolation draw semifinals at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southwest Men's Tennis Regional on Saturday.
Sharma started the day with a third round win over teammate Eddy Shtyen 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 then topped Justus Petersilie of Hardin-SImmons 6-2, 5-7, 10-7 in the quarterfinals. Sharma walkovered due to injury against #9 Ashton Ellis of Southwestern in the semifinals to end the Comet tournament run.
Graduate student Jed de Luna won his third round consolation match 5-7, 6-3, 10-3 against Kade Talbot of Concordia Texas before losing to Cal Hunter from Trinity 6-2, 6-0 in the quarters.
The ITA Regional wraps up the fall schedule for UT Dallas.
