Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

UTD Men's Soccer Shocks #13 Trinity 2-1

RICHARDSON, Texas - Junior defender Kayson Marriott headed in the game-winning goal with one second remaining to give UT Dallas a 2-1 win over #13 Trinity (Texas) at the UTD Soccer Complex Sunday afternoon.

The game remained 0-0 until the 70th minute when Joseph Kuri scored on a breakaway pass from Adam Knutson for the Tigers (1-1-1). Just over five minutes later, junior forward Kane Kidwell hit the equalizer on the penalty kick.

Trinity took a pair of shots in the final 15 minutes, including one that was saved by sophomore keeper Michael Hesse. The Comets (3-0-1) final shots of the game came in the final 17 seconds, including Marriott's header off a throw-in by freshman defender Adrian Solano.

TU outshot UTD 13-7 overall and 4-3 on goal. The Tigers also held a 7-4 corner kick advantage with both teams committing 12 fouls. The Comets were called for offsides nine times.

UT Dallas Notes
- The win over the Tigers was just the second in program history and first since 2014.
- Marriott recorded his second goal of the week and the first game-winner of his career.
- Kidwell made his second goal of the week and the first PK of his career.
- Sophomore midfielder Omega Eyassu also recorded a shot on goal.
- Sophomore Ethan Hilliard collected a pair of saves in the first half and Hesse added one.

Trinity Notes
- Joseph Kuri took for shots, two on goal.
- Knutson added three shots with one on goal.
- Michael Somerville also had a shot on goal off the bench.
- Austin Willman recorded one save in 90 minutes.
