RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's tennis team lost an 8-1 decision to #13 Trinity (Texas) at the UTD Tennis Courts Sunday afternoon.

The visiting Tigers (4-2) took all three doubles scrums to start the match. The Comets' (2-3) Snehin Yerragudi and Eddy Shteyn lost to 23rd-ranked Alessioa Azzalini and Rafa Candelas Ruiz 8-2 at number and Nathan Qi and Ritvik Ganesan fell to Hao Nguyen and Eric Liao 8-2 at the second spot. Jed de Luna and Nick Boquet pushed Cal Hunter and Conor Kaczmarcyzk to an 8-4 score.

Ganesan picked up UTD's only point at number four singles, winning 6-3, 2-6, 11-9. De Luna lost to Dalton Locke in a third-set tiebreaker 7-5, 2-6, 10-8.

The Comets will return to the courts on Friday, March 3 when they host McMurry at 2 p.m.
