CLARKSVILLE, Ark. - The UT Dallas baseball team exploded for a 23-4, seven-inning victory at Ozarks in Sunday's American Southwest Conference series rubber match at Lonnie Qualls Field.
After splitting on Saturday, the Comets (11-8, 5-4 ASC) opened the game with an eight-run first inning, including a grand slam by left fielder 
Brayshon Savage and a two-run blast by second baseman 
Andrew Skivington.
The Eagles (4-15, 3-6 ASC) scored a run in each of the first four innings, but the Comets plated two in the second and two more in the fourth for a 12-4 advantage.
UTD sent 16 batters to the plate in the fifth, scoring 11 runs on six hits, an error, four walks and a pair of hit batters. Designated hitter 
Grayson Coltharp hit a three-run homer in the inning.
The Comets outhit the Eagles 18-5 in the game.
UT Dallas Notes
- 
Joshua Wood (2-0) picked up the win in relief, striking out four and allowing just one walk over three scoreless innings.
- Right fielder 
Luke Finn went 4-for-4 at the plate, scoring three runs with a double.
- Skivington, who homered in all three games of the series, was 2-for-4 with three runs and four RBI. He also extended his hitting streak to 17 games.
- Center fielder 
Jaeger Self was 3-for-5 with a triple, two runs scored and a RBI.
- Savage hit the 34th grand slam in school history and scored three times.
- Shortstop 
Keagan Vance was 2-for-3 with a pair of walks and two runs scored.
- Coltharp had a double and the home run, driving in three runs and scoring three times.
- Third baseman 
Dylan Bivins also added a pair of hits and scored three times.
- Freshman catcher 
Nico Fernandez threw two base runners out trying to steal and scored twice with a pair of RBI.
Ozarks Notes
- Left fielder Kagen Kennedy was 2-for-3 with two RBI. 
- First baseman Nicholas Bennet had a hit and scored twice.
- Cole Clark and Brice Cage also recorded a hit.
