BELTON, Texas - The UT Dallas baseball team won its sixth consecutive American Southwest Conference series after splitting Saturday's double-header against Mary Hardin-Baylor at Red Murff Field.
The host Cru (11-17, 7-14 ASC) took the seven-inning opener 2-0, before the Comets (20-12, 13-8 ASC) won game two 9-6 in 11 innings.
With six games remaining in the conference schedule, UTD is tied for second with Concordia Texas. The top six teams will qualify for the ASC Championship Tournament.
UMHB starter Andrew Acierni (4-3) threw a seven-inning shutout, allowing four hits and two walks with one strikeout in game one. 
Dylan Hugley (3-2) allowed 10 hits, one earned run and a walk with two Ks in the losing effort for the Comets.
The Cru scored in the second when Carson Hagan led off with a single, was bunted to second and stole third before scoring on a base hit by  Warren Sammons. Kaden deBerardinis led the third off with a walk and later scored on a Rhett Grosz sac fly for the only other run of the opener.
In game two, Comet third baseman 
Daniel Zamora hit a two-run double in the second to open the game two scoring. UMHB tied the game in the third with a two-run double from Hayden Guerin, then took the lead in the fourth with a run. Designated hitter 
Grayson Coltharp singled in 
Andrew Skivington in the fifth to knot the game at 3-3.
The Cru regained the lead in the eighth when Hagen walked, stole second, moved to third on ground out and scored on a wild pitch. With two outs in the top of the ninth, pinch hitter 
Nico Fernandez reached base on an error and pinch runner 
Will Dolan scored on a 
Jaeger Self single to force extra innings.
After a scoreless 10th, the Comets sent 10 batters to the plate in the top of the 11th, scoring five runs on three hits, a walk and two hit batters. With the bases loaded, 
Robert Hines drew a walk and 
Luke Finn was hit by a pitch to go up 6-4. 
Coleman Camp singled to right field, scoring Self, followed by another bases loaded plunking to Zamora and a RBI-infield single by 
Brayshon Savage. UMHB managed to get two more runs in the bottom of the frame for the final 9-6 tally. 
UTD outhit UMHB 11-8 in game two.

Jake Jennings (1-2) earned the win with three innings of relief work in game two.
- 
Caleb Vuono struck out a season-high seven batters over five innings in the nightcap.
- Zamora recorded four hits on the day with two RBI and a double.
- Skivington was 2-for-4 with two runs, two walks and a double in game two.
- Hines walked and scored twice with an RBI in the second game.
- Self had two hits and a stolen base in the nightcap.
Mary Hardin-Baylor Notes
- The Cru pitching staff walked seven batters in game two.
- Guerin had three hits and two RBI on the day.
- deBerardinis also had three hits with two runs, an RBI and a stolen base.
