AUSTIN, Texas - The UT Dallas softball team lost both games of an American Southwest Conference double-header to Concordia Texas at Roberts Family Field Thursday.

The host Tornados (12-11, 4-7 ASC) had a walk-off 2-1 victory in game one, then defeated the Comets (13-9, 4-4 ASC) 3-2 in the nightcap.

Game One
The opening contest of the three-game series was a pitching duel between UTD's McKenzie Cutbirth and CTX' Mayson Post.

The Comets took a 1-0 lead in the fifth when designated player Olivia Reed reached on an error with two outs and pinch runner Riley Westmoreland scored on an Erin Ledesma single down the left field line.

The Tornados tied it in the bottom of the frame on a two-out walk issued to Kylie Denaro who scored on double by second baseman Kylie Kirk.

In the bottom of the seventh, Krista Burg singled up the middle and was lifted for pinch runner Emily Schmuck, who proceeded to steal second. After a sacrifice bunt moved Schmuck to third, she scored the game-winning run on a Denaro single to center.

Post (5-3) earned the win with four strikeouts, five hits, a walk and no earned runs allowed. Cutbirth (9-1) struck out four and allowed six hits, two runs and a walk.
