RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's soccer team wrapped up the 2025 season with a 1-1 tie against UT Tyler Tuesday evening at the UTD Soccer Field.

The Comets, under head coach Stephen Shirley, finished the season 12-3-3 overall and 9-3-2 in the Lone Star Conference. Competing in the league for the first time, UTD finished fourth in the regular season standings.

The 12 victories were the most wins for the Comets since 2019.

First Half Highlights 
- The Patriots (10-2-5, 7-2-5 LSC), who placed sixth in the LSC standings, started aggressively with Natalie Jones' shot saved by McKenzie Hunninghake at 1:18.  
- Ella Anderson tested the UTD defense with multiple shots, but Hunninghake made key saves, notably at 6:16.  
- Comet forward Gabby Thompson recorded the home team's only shot in the first period in the 22nd minute.  

Second Half Highlights
- At 51:07, Maya Walker's shot was saved by UT Tyler's Emily Clark.
- Jules Chavez broke the deadlock with a goal for UTD at 52:05, giving the home team a 1-0 lead. She scored on a cross that was punched out directly to her at the top of the box.
- Brooke Mullins scored for UT Tyler in the 88th minute, assisted by Anderson, leveling the score at 1-1.

The Patriots outshot the Comets 20-7 overall and 7-3 on goal. UTT also led in corner kicks, 5-1, and fouls, 11-8.
