RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas women's basketball team ended the 2024-25 season with 76-69 victory over Hardin-Simmons at the UTD Activity Center Saturday afternoon.
After the game, the Comets (18-6) honored its five seniors -
Anna Yellen,
Cierra Trigg,
Trystan Clark,
Alex Bowman and
Jordyn Hofmann.
The home team had a solid first half, leading the Cowgirls (18-7) 40-28 at the intermission. UTD pushed the lead to 20 points in the third quarter, but HSU fought back to cut the deficit to 57-64 with 6:01 left. The Comets answered with a 6-0 run to take control of the contest.
UTD shot 48.3 percent (29-of-60) from the field, 8-of-29 from outside and 10-of-17 at the free throw line. They also recorded 36 rebounds, 26 assists, 14 turnovers, five blocks and seven steals.
HSU shot 38.3 percent (23-for-60) overall, 8-of-23 from three-point territory and 15-of-24 at the stripe with 40 rebounds, 12 assists, 17 turnovers, five blocks and seven steals.

- Head coach
Joe Shotland has won 18 or more games in each of his three seasons, totaling a 57-22 record.
- Bowman went 8-of-13 from the field, recording 16 points to go with three assists and a blocked shot.
- Freshman center
Ellery Sample tied her season-best with 16 points while pulling down five rebounds.
- Yellen drained four three-pointers for 12 points.
- Trigg tied her season-bests of 11 points and four assists.
- Junior forward
Addy Self just missed a double-double with nine points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals.
- Clark finished with four points, three boards and five assists.
- Hofman had two points, one assist, a block and a steal.
Hardin-Simmons Notes
- Madison Williams led the Cowgirls with 13 points and four assists.
- Jacqueline Berry had a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds while dishing out three assists.
- Aiken Semones had 11 points while making three three-pointers.
- Dylan Koele added 10 points off the bench.
- MaeSyn Gay chipped in nine points, six rebounds, two blocks and three steals.
