RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's soccer team took down Richland 2-0 in its first exhibition contest of the 2025 season Monday night at the UTD Soccer Field.

The Comets outshot the Thunderducks, who are ranked second in the NJCAA Division III Preseason Poll, 14-10 overall and 5-4 on goal.

Sophomore Ryan Anderson put UTD on the board in the 43rd minute with an assist from Avery Brazzell. Caden Nazer made it 2-0 in the 66th minute after a corner kick from sophomore midfielder Gabriel Sasso.

Anderson led the Comets with four shots overall. Aiden Currie, Callum Thompson and Gino Sasso each took a shot on goal.

Ross Vesari and Morgan English split time in goal, posting two saves apiece.

UTD will host Wayland Baptist at 1 p.m. Saturday to wrap up the pre-season.
