RICHARDSON, Texas - UT Dallas scored three second-half goals en route to a 3-1 victory over Ouachita Baptist at UTD Soccer Field Thursday night.
The Comets (3-2) dominated possession, outshooting the Tigers (1-2-1) 15-7 overall and 11-2 on goal.
Senior forward
Hamza Syed opened the scoring for UTD with a goal in the 55th minute on a scorcher after dribbling downfield. Sophomore
Carson Burden extended the lead to 2-0 with a goal assisted by
Ryan Anderson in the 64th minute. OBU responded quickly with a goal by Nael Shalabi, assisted by Andrew Castellanos, reducing the deficit to 2-1 in the 66th minute. However, the Comets'
Luke Harris sealed the victory with a third goal, again assisted by Anderson, in the 77th minute, ending the half with a 3-1 win.
The Comets have now won 11 consecutive matches at home, dating back to 2023.
