RICHARDSON, Texas - UT Dallas sophomore defender Callum Thompson was named the Lone Star Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

Thompson, from Maumelle, Ark., was part of the back line that helped the Comets record two shutouts. He helped limit St. Mary's to two shots on goal in Wednesday's 0-0 road draw. Thompson followed with an assist and held Sul Ross State to just three shots, none on target, in Saturday's 5-0 win.

This is Thompson's third career LSC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

UTD will host St. Edward's on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
