RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's tennis team battled McKendree in a 4-3 loss at the UTD Tennis Courts Thursday afternoon.

The visiting Bearcats (6-7) took the doubles point, winning two of the three matches. The Comets (0-7) won at number two with Juan Luis Aguirre and Eddy Shteyn defeating Riccardo Ercolani and Felix Diedrichs 6-2. Benjamin Dubois and Matheus de Freitas Zanellato took Bendix Schroeder and Ignacio Paolini down to the wire in a 7-6 (7-5) decision at the top spot.

UTD and McKendree split the singles matches. The Comets picked up wins at number one with Aguirre topping Schroeder 6-2, 6-4 and at number two where Dubois topped Paolini 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (7-5). Zanellato defeated Diedrichs 6-3, 6-3 in the fourth flight.

UTD will play again on Monday at home against Hawai'i-Hilo beginning at noon.
