RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's tennis team lost a 6-1 decision to UT Permian Basin in Lone Star Conference play on Saturday the UTD Tennis Courts.

The visiting Falcons (4-8, 1-0 LSC) took the doubles points with victories at two and three. The Comets (0-10, 0-2 LSC) won at the number one doubles spot with Benjamin Dubois and Matheus de Freitas Zanellato defeating Kabir Chothani and Nehal Naidoo 7-6 (7-4).

Zanellato was also a winner over Chothani at number four singles 7-5, 7-5. 

Two matches were decided in the third set. Ronav Aviur lost to Andrew Hunsley 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 at number five. UTPB's Joao D'Amorim topped Juan Luis Aguirre 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 1-0 (10-6) in the battle of top players.

UTD will wrap up the weekend at 6 p.m. Sunday at home against Sul Ross State.
