RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas men's tennis team finished the 2026 season with a 6-1 loss to St. Mary's at the UTD Tennis Courts on Saturday.
The Comets finished the season 1-15 overall and 1-7 in Lone Star Conference play for eighth place.
The Rattlers (14-5, 4-3 LSC) took the doubles point by winning at number one and three. UTD's tandem of
Juan Luis Aguirre and
Eddy Shteyn defeated Ollie Eriksson and Victor Velter 7-6 (7-4) in the second spot.
StMU went on to win five of the six doubles duels. The Comets' point came at number two where senior
Benjamin Dubois defeated Eriksson 6-0, 7-5. Dubois finished his career with a 26-14 singles record and tied for eighth on the UTD list for most victories.
At number one Lucas Castillo Sanchez defeated Aguirre 6-4, 6-3.
