RICHARDSON, Texas - The UT Dallas baseball team wrapped up its first season in the Lone Star Conference on Sunday, falling to St. Edward's 4-2 at the UTD Baseball Field
The Comets finished the season 33-17 and placed fourth in the LSC standings. In
Travis Graves' first season as head coach, UTD tied for the third-most victories in program history.

Game Highlights
- The Hilltoppers (31-18 LSC) scored three runs in the top of the first. Connor Cox drew a walk and scored on a David Ripple base hit up the middle.
- Kade Nathman recorded a two-run single in the inning.
- The rally ended on a strikeout, throw-them-out double play as Oler fanned Grayson Doggett and Fernandez gunned down Nathman trying to steal third.
- The Comets picked up a pair of runs in the fifth inning. With two runners in scoring position,
Chris Benavidez drove in
Gavin Barker with a sacrifice fly to center field.
Austin Wallace followed by scoring on a wild pitch.
- SEU went up 4-2 in the sixth after Dylan Tate led off with a walk and later scored on a Trevor Sebek sac fly.Â
- UTD outhit SEU 9-7 and outdrew them in walks 6-2.
UT Dallas Performances
- Oler (6-3) went the distance in a gutsy performance, throwing 144 pitches in his final outing. He struck out six and allowed seven hits, four runs and two walks.

Alex Miller went 2-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base. Splitting time between first base and left field, Miller broke the school record for most defensive chances without an error at 204.
- Fernandez doubled and drew a walk, moving into fourth on UTD's career doubles list with 35. He also threw out two runners trying to steal, claiming the Comet record with 30 runners caught for his career.
- Shortstop
Jake Amoroso went 2-for-4.
St. Edward's Performances
- Ripple went 3-for-4 with an RBI, run scored and a stolen base.
- Nathman drove in two runs with his single.
- Tate went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base.
- Starter Jacob Glazener (3-0) earned the victory by going five innings and giving up three hits, two runs and five walks with three strikeouts.
- Carson Blakeley earned his first save of the season. He allowed six hit and a walk with four strikeouts in four inning.
Season Records
The Comets broke several school records in 2026, including fielding percentage (.972), walks (271), hit by pitch (87) and tying sacrfice flies (32).
