Matt Kelly wrapped up a sterling four-year career in 2010, serving as one of the most versatile players to pass through the UT Dallas baseball program. He became one of the few freshmen to cement a starting position for the Comets back in 2007, and has hit over .300 in three of his four years at UTD.

In 2010, Kelly batted a career-best .360, splitting time between playing catcher and third base. He ended his tenure at UTD with 69 RBIs.

2010: Started in 25 games, three of which were at third base...hit .360 while amassing 23 RBIs...belted four home runs, including a grand slam in an American Southwest Conference Tournament game at Texas Lutheran on April 30...totaled 32 hits and five doubles.

2009: Played in 19 games with 10 starts...hit .389 in 36 at-bats with a double and two home runs...drove in 10 runs.

2008: Played in 29 games...batted .270 with four doubles and 14 RBIs.

2007: One of the few freshmen in UTD baseball history to earn a starting spot...hit .302 with two doubles, a triple and three home runs to go along with 21 RBIs...started 31 games and appeared in three others.

HIGH SCHOOL: Started as a sophomore on a high school team that qualified for the playoffs for the first time in school history, producing the game-winning hit in the team's first playoff victory...became team MVP by his senior season...academic accomplishments earned him an Academic Recognition Scholarship.
