Biography

David Shaw was one of the Comets' most reliable pitchers in 2008, making two starts in nine appearances. Posted a 3.86 ERA and picked up a pair of wins while taking part in one combined shutout. Struck out 16 while walking 15 in 21.0 innings of work.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Threw 50 innings as a freshman at Brookhaven JC on a team that advanced to the regionals. Earned a Transfer Academic Scholarship to UTD after two seasons at Brookhaven.

2009: 12.79 era, 2-0 w-l, 4 app, 1 gs, 6.1 ip, 4 so. Earned Academic All Conference

HIGH SCHOOL: Played three years at Richardson HS, where he was also a member of the National Honor Society.
