Biography

2011: Appeared in 27 games, making 22 starts at either first base or designated hitter...Hit .190 with two doubles and a pair of home runs...Went 3-for-5 with four RBI in win over Arlington Baptist on Feb. 17.

2010: Hit .374 at the plate, lifting two home runs and driving in 18 runs...His home runs were cranked in wins over Schreiner (Feb. 27) and LeTourneau (April 9)...Committed only one error in the field, compiling a fielding percentage of .996.

2009: Made appearances in 19 games a freshman, including 12 spot starts, mostly at first base...hit .271 in 48 at-bats with a pair of home runs and seven RBIs...did not commit an error in the field.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played on a state-ranked team at Houston Spring Branch HS, earning All-District honors as a senior...was a team captain and hit over .378 with 30 RBIs...his team advanced deep into the state playoffs during his final two seasons...was an Academic All-District selection...sang in the Spring Branch choir...worked as an umpire for Little League baseball in the offseason...also was a defensive lineman for the Spring Branch varsity football team.
