University of Texas at Dallas Athletics

Brandon Dinwiddie came to UTD in 2008 from the powerhouse San Jacinto Junior College program with high hopes, but his season ended early after an arm injury. A lefty, Dinwiddie hopes to be fully recovered and one of the Comets' top weapons on the mound in 2009.

Made just two starts, and picked up a win with a six-hit, six-strikeout performance in the season-opening series with Hendrix College on 02.17.08. Finished season with 1-0 record and 6.75 ERA, striking out 7 in 8.,0 innings.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played on a nationally-ranked team at San Jacinto JC that advanced to the Junior College World Series in 2007. An Academic All-American at SCJC, he earned a Transfer Academic Scholarship to UTD. 

2009: 6.60 era, 1-2 w-l, 15 app, 7 gs, 43.2 ip, 20 so. Earned Academic All Conference

HIGH SCHOOL: Dinwiddie was  an all-star at Central HS in Little Rock, Arkansas, pitching and playing outfield on a team that advanced to the state playoffs four straight years.

MAJOR: Business Administration/Marketing.
