UTD SOCCER COMPLEX
HOME OF UT DALLAS MEN'S & WOMEN'S SOCCER
The UTD Soccer Complex is second-to-none in the area with 10 fully-lighted fields, included four new fields added in 2011 at the cost of $1.2 million. The centerpiece of the soccer facilities is UTD's competition Soccer Field, where both the men's and women's intercollegiate teams play home games in the fall.
The complex features bleacher seating, a concession area, rest rooms, lights, large covered bench areas, a large electronic scoreboard, an irrigation system and a elevated open air press box.
Fans have seen the Comets rise to the top of the collegiate athletics world at the Soccer Complex, which has been host to eight UTD teams that qualified for the NCAA Tournament, including second round appearances in 2002 (Women's Soccer) and 2014 (Men's Soccer).
The Soccer Complex has hosted several championship events, including American Southwest Conference Men's and Women's Soccer Championship Tournaments, as well as its first NCAA Tournament games in 2014 and 2015.
On November 15, 2014, the Men's Soccer team clinched a first-round win over Pomona-Pitzer to secure the first NCAA Tournament win at the Soccer Complex.
More recently, the lighting and grandstands for the field were upgraded in 2015 to accommodate increasing crowds. Plans for a stadium seating structure on the east side of the field is under consideration.
