Former Comet starting pitcher Dylan Hugley joined the coaching staff as a volunteer assistant in February 2025.
In his first season on staff, the Comets boasted the best record in program history, going 32-6.
Hugley was a two-time All-American Southwestern Coference Third Team selection and was named to the ASC All-Tournament Team twice. In three seasons with UTD, he racked up a 17-8 record with a 4.67 ERA over 39 appearances and 33 starts. He logged five complete games with 146 strikeouts and only 52 walks over 206 innings. Hugley finished his career ranked fifth in innings pitched and eighth in wins.
Prior to UT Dallas, Hugley spent a season at Dallas College Richland. A native of Rowlette, Texas, he played baseball for Rowlett High School and TCS Post Grad Academy.Â
Hugley graduated in December 2023 with a degree in Business Administration. He is currently and associate at Starr Insurance.
