Biography

Jay Johnson transferred to UTD from Abilene Christian University in 2007 and made 19 appearances on a team that advanced to the NCAA Division II regional tournament. Won All-ASC East Division honors with his 6-2 record and 4.22 ERA. Struck out 33 hitters in 36.0 innings of work.

Last season, Johnson was limited to four appearances with three starts, but struggled to an 0-1 record with an 11.81 ERA in just 5.1 innings of work. Will be trying to bounce back in 2009.
