Larry Bolding had a breakthrough 2010 season. After missing action for much of his freshman year for various reasons, Bolding emerged as one of the Comets' top dual threats in 2010. He started at second base, and, in American Southwest Conference series, was an integral part of UT Dallas' starting rotation.

He totaled three wins as a starting pitcher and conjured a fielding percentage of .957 at second base. In addition, he was named the Team MVP by ninth-year coach Shane Shewmake at season's end.

2010: Maintained a batting average of .367, rapping five doubles and 14 RBIs...was 3-3 in five starts on the mound, making eight total appearances throughout the year...had an ERA of 4.59...voted as Team MVP.

2009: Played most of the season on the UTD junior varsity squad.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was crowned as Team MVP throughout his high school career...was a two-time All-District selection...also played three years of varsity golf.
