Tim Flasik has been a steady member of the UTD pitching staff for each of the last three seasons, and will likely be in his familiar role as a long reliever in 2009.

Transferred to UTD in 2006 after a semester at Cisco JC and was one of the team's top relievers in 2007. Flasik made a team single-season record 21 appearances and threw 39.1 innings. Posted a 2-1 record with four saves and a team-best 3.43 ERA. He was named 2007 second team All-ASC East Division. Tied for team career save record with six entering this season.

Struggled a bit as a freshman (2007) with a 5.91 ERA in six appearances, but did only give up two walks in 10.2 innings of work and worked in a pair of combined shutouts.

In 2008, Flasik posted a solid ERA of 3.91 in 14 appearances and 23.0 innings of work. He was part of one combined shutout, but finished with an 0-3 record. Struck out 15 and walked just nine batters last season. 

2009: 6.61 era, 1-1 w-l, 15 app, 16.1 ip, 14 so

HIGH SCHOOL: Broke a single season record at his Hightower HS near Houston with 6 wins and allowing only 11 walks in a single season. Was also the drum major of his high school band.
