Natalie Duran turned in a career-defining season in 2010, her junior year, as she guided the Comets (16-24, 5-19) to their best record since 2007. Duran, a team captain, raised her batting average by nearly .200 points in 2010 and was positioned at second base for the entirety of UT Dallas' 40-game season.

She finished the regular season with the third-best batting average (.466) in the American Southwest Conference, and will return in 2011 as UTD's "seasoned veteran."

2010: Recorded career-highs in home runs (2), hits (54), doubles (8) and RBIs (29)...batted an astronomical .466 at the plate...was fifth in the ASC with 39 runs scored...was fourth in the ASC with 54 hits...registered a perfect 5-for-5 outing, which included a career-best six RBIs, in UTD's historic 41-1 win over Rust College (MS) on Feb. 27...homered against Hardin-Simmons and Mary Hardin-Baylor at the ASC First Pitch Tournament (March 5-6)...earned ASC East Division Hitter of the Week honors (March 1)...selected to the ASC All-East Division Honorable Mention Team.

2009: Started in 30 games, spending a majority of her minutes in the outfield...hit .267 with one home run and 8 RBIs.

2008: Earned 22 starts, splitting time between second base and the outfield...hit .333 as a freshman, rapping five doubles and a triple...tallied 13 RBIs...selected to the ASC All-East Division Honorable Mention Team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was an award-winning, three-time All-District First Team selection at Mesquite Horn HS (Mesquite, TX)...won two district championships and advanced to the playoffs all four years she played...was named to the All-Academic team every year from 2004-2007...also a member of the Mesquite Horn volleyball team.

MAJOR: Interdisciplinary Studies.
