After a three-year playing career, Blythe Williams has joined the UT Dallas coaching staff as a student assistant for the 2024-25 season.
Williams earned a Third Team All-American Southwest Conference honors as a senior and was selected to the ASC All-Defensive Team. She was also the ASC Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year for women's basketball in 2023-24.
She played 77 games, scoring 413 points with 414 rebounds, 125 assists, 36 blocks and 90 steals. Williams shot 42.3 percent (166-for-392) for her career. She scored double-digit points 15 times in her career and grabbed ten or more rebounds four times. Williams was also a two-time Academic All-ASC Selection.
Prior to UTD, Williams spent a season at Tarleton State in Stephenville, Texas.
From Midlothian, Texas, Williams was a TABC and TGCA All-Star as a senior for Heritage High School. She was All-Region and the District Defensive Player of the Year.
Williams is pursuing a degree in Software Engineering.
