Olivia Cicci joined the Comets as a full-time assistant coach prior to the 2019-20 season.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Cicci came to UTD after spending one season as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II Texas A&M-Commerce. While with the Lions, Cicci assisted with recruiting and basketball operations while managing the squad's digital playbook and completing scouting reports. She helped mentor a TAMUC program that secured its first NCAA D-III National Championship appearance in more than a decade, leading the Lions to just their third 20-win season in program history.
As a student-athlete at Austin College, Cicci is familiar with NCAA D-III as well, serving as a team captain for the Lady 'Roos as a senior. She helped lift AC to a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) titles along with an 82-48 record during her four-year playing career. During her playing career, Cicci appeared in 50 games, starting six contests for the Lady 'Roos. She shot 41 percent from three-point range over the course of her career, and led the SCAC in three-point shooting percentage in the regular season during her senior year, shooting 52 percent. Cicci was a four-time SCAC Academic Honor Roll selection and named to the AC Dean's List between 2014-17. She was twice named to the SCAC Sportsmanship Team. Upon the conclusion of her playing career, she spent one season as a graduate assistant with the Lady 'Roos.
Cicci received bachelor's degree in Athletic Communications with a minor in Education in 2017, while earning her master's degree in Teaching from AC in 2018.
