Biography

Courtney Wright came on as a top player for the Comets in just her second season last year, hitting .311 while starting all 39 games. Had 42 hits in a team-high 135 at-bats, including 7 doubles and 3 home runs. Drove in 29 runs. Played primarily at third base after doing some catching as a freshman.

Wright got into 29 games as a freshman in 2007,  but hit just .129 in her first collegiate season.

2009: .252 avg, Played in and started 35 games, 3 2b, 1 3b, 6 rbi

HIGH SCHOOL: She was an first-team all-district and all-state catcher in high school on a Canton HS team that reached the state quarterfinals. Also won Academic All-State recognition.

MAJOR: Accounting.

AMBITION: Coaching.
