Katie Johnson, who set a number of school goalkeeping records while playing at UT Dallas (2001-04), is in her seventh year doubling as the assistant women's soccer coach and assistant women's tennis goach. She signed on with the UTD staff in the fall of 2007.
Johnson set a school record by playing in 81 games during her four-year career as a Comet. She also holds several UTD school records, and was honored as an All-American Southwest Conference and All-Region goalkeeper during her tenure on the playing field. In addition, she helped guide UTD to the 2002 ASC Championship.
A 2001 graduate of MacArthur High School (Irving, TX), Johnson graduated UTD with a degree in psychology in 2005. She has recieved her National Dipoma from the NSCAA.
