Melanie Marchant joined her alma mater's staff as a volunteer assistant in 2024.
In her first season with the Comets, Marchant helped them compile an 8-7-1 record with five shutouts.
Marchant was a member of the Comets for four seasons, appearing in 24 games with two goals on seven shots as a midfielder. She wa a three-time Academic All-American Southwest Conference selection and inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society in 2022-23.
A native of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., Marchant was the class valedictorian and four-year scholar-athlete for Tesoro High School.
Marchant graduated from UT Dallas in 2024 with a degree in Biology.
