Dave Wester moved into the role of Business Manager at UT Dallas after 12 years in the Comets' Media Relations office.
Wester joined the UTD staff in September 2010 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations, aiding in the promotion of all the school's athletic programs as well enhancing new media initiatives for the department. He helped manage statistics, maintain the content and development of UTD's web site and served as the school's media liaison.
Wester was honored as a part of the ASC Sports Information Staff of the Year in 2012 and 2017.
Wester came to UTD after spending five years as the Director of Sports Information at Angelo State University. Prior to his stint at ASU, Wester held a similar position at Southeastern Oklahoma State University from 2000-05.
A native of Oologah, Okla., Wester received his bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Oklahoma City University in 1995. He spent five years in the sports information office at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) in Tulsa, Okla., before taking his position at SOSU.
