Texas tennis legend Jeff Bramlett joined the UT Dallas tennis staff as an assistant coach in September 2025.
Bramlett arrived at UTD after a successful tenure as head coach at Concordia University Texas (2023–25), where he guided the Tornados to back-to-back American Southwest Conference (ASC) men’s championships. He was named ASC West Division Men’s Coach of the Year in 2024 and Women’s Coach of the Year in 2023.
Prior to Concordia, Bramlett spent eight seasons (2014–21) leading the tennis programs at East Texas Baptist University. He was a three-time ASC East Division Women’s Coach of the Year and captured the 2017 conference title. Over 11 total seasons as a collegiate head coach, Bramlett compiled a 107-72 record with women’s teams and an 86-92-1 mark with the men.
Bramlett’s impact on Texas tennis has been widely recognized. He was inducted into the Texas Tennis Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2023, and his family was honored as the Texas Tennis Family of the Year in 1981.
As a player, Bramlett competed at Texas Tech University in Lubbock and Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State) in San Marcos. He played No. 1 singles and doubles for the Red Raiders before transferring to Texas State, where he helped the Bobcats win the 1982 NAIA Team National Championship and captured the NAIA doubles national title.
Following his collegiate career, Bramlett earned USPTA certification in 1983 and soon achieved a world doubles ranking. He became one of Texas’ top-ranked players over multiple decades, including:

Bramlett holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Business Administration from Texas State University.
