Justin Santos joined the Comet baseball staff as a student assistant in February 2025 and moved to volunteer assistant in 2026 after graduating.
In 2026, Santos helped the Comets to a 33-17 record, finishing fourth in the Lone Star Conference. UTD received votes in the national polls and led the LSC in batting average, on-base percentage, fewest hits allowed and fielding percentage. The Comets also broke the school record in walks, hits by pitch, sacrifice flies and fielding percentage. Santos coached the three All-Region selections, the LSC Newcomer of the Year, seven All-LSC picks, three LSC All-Defensive honorees and two on the LSC All-Academic team.
Prior to enrolling at UT Dallas, Santos spent time at Oklahoma Panhandle State in Goodwell, Redlands Community College in El Reno, Okla. and Vernon College in Texas.
A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Santos played baseball for Western Hills High School.
He earned a degree Interdisciplinary Studies from UTD in 2025. He was named to the 2025 Fall LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
