Marci Allison was named the UT Dallas Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator in June 2022.
Allison began the UTD volleyball program in 2004 and built one of the most respected programs in all of NCAA Division III.
In 18 seasons with the Comets, Allison led UTD to seven American Southwest Conference championships and has made eight trips to the NCAA D-III National Championship Tournament. Her Comets qualified for the ASC Championship Tournament every year since the program’s inception and claimed 14 regular season league titles.
A 10-time ASC Coach of the Year winner, Allison earned AVCA Region Coach of the Year recognition for the first time in 2016 after leading the Comets to the NCAA D-III Sweet 16. She was also tabbed AVCA Region Coach of the Year after the 2019 campaign. She coached four AVCA All-Americans during her tenure at UTD and mentored 12 players who have garnered AVCA All-Region honors.
She boasted a 419-144 (.744) career coaching record during her 18 seasons, including a 32-3 mark in 2016.

In addition, Allison has been involved with USA Volleyball, serving as a team leader at the 2015 Pan Am Cup in Lima, Peru. Her involvement with USA Volleyball began in 2011 when she coordinated team training for the A2 team on the UTD campus. She then served as an assistant coach for the Collegiate National Team in Dallas two years later and was the co-head coach for the Collegiate National Team in Minneapolis in 2014.
Prior to her arrival at UTD, Allison was a record-setting outside hitter as a player at Angelo State University and then served as an assistant coach at ASU for four seasons.
Allison was a summa cum laude graduate at ASU in 1999 with a Kinesiology degree, then earned a master's degree and taught on the ASU faculty. In addition to her coaching duties at ASU, Allison worked with various volleyball camps and with local club teams. She is USA IMPACT, CAP I & CAP II certified. She graduated from the NCAA Women Coaches Academy in 2006.
