Collegiate softball standout Pal Egan joined the UT Dallas coaching staff as the Defensive Assistant Coach in August 2025.
Egan wrapped up her playing career at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where she also earned a Masters of Science in Marketing in 2023. Egan hit .280 with 28 hits, 21 runs scored, six doubles, six home runs and 28 RBI for the Gators over 50 contests. UF went advanced to the Palo Alto Regional of the NCAA Division I Softball Championship Tournament in 2023.
Prior to her time in Gainesville, Egan was the 2022 Southland Conference Player of the Year and Hitter of the Year at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She was a two-time All-Southland selection at shortstop and was an NFCA All-Region Third Team selection during her senior campaign. Egan hit .426 with 66 hits, 48 runs, 17 doubles, two triples, 12 home runs, 36 RBI, 38 walks and 27 steals in her final year for the Islanders. In two seasons, she was a .369 hitter with 104 hits, 70 runs, 23 doubles, 13 homers, 56 RBI, 64 walks and 48 stolen bases.
Egan played two seasons at Vernon College in Texas, earning Team MVP and First Team All-Conference honors as a freshman. She hit .561 with a .612 on-base percentage and 1.175 slugging to go with eight home runs, nine doubles, 36 RBI and six stolen bases.
Egan graduated from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Entrepreneurship in 2022. She also received an Associate's in Business Administration and Management from Venron in 2020.
The Bakersfield, Calif. native attended Independence High School and was named First Team All-American, All-League First Team and to the All-Area Team.
Egan also works as a freelance graphic designer and has been the social media manager for The Alliance Fastpitch.
