Box Score ABILENE, TX (09.12.09) – The UT Dallas men's soccer team held longtime nemesis Trinity at bay for almost 89 minutes Saturday afternoon on a rain-soaked field at Hardin-Simmons University, but the nationally-ranked Tigers came up with the only goal they would need with 1:20 left to knock off the Comets yet again, 1-0.
The loss to 25th-ranked Trinity (4-1-0) was UTD's first of the season after starting the year 2-0-2, and continued a streak that dates back through the 11-year history of UTD men's soccer. The Comets, who won their opener of the SCAC/ASC Challenge Tournament 3-1 over Southwestern yesterday, open ASC play next weekend at home against the University of the Ozarks. It will be UTD's first home match of the year.
