RICHARDSON, Texas - UT Dallas redshirt freshman Callum Thompson was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Central Region Second Team, the organization announced Wednesday.

Thompson, a defender from Maumelle, Ark., served as team captain and was the only player to start all 18 games. He recorded three goals, two of which were game-winners, and three assists while contributing to all eight shutouts at center back. Thompson was selected All-Lone Star Conference First Team and All-Freshman Team and was a D2CCA All-Region Second Team pick.

The Comets went 11-5-2 overall and 7-2-1 in the LSC, placing second in their first season in the league.
