SAN ANTONIO, TX (11.14.15) - Making its second straight trip to the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament, the UT Dallas men's soccer made an early exit from the event this season after a 3-0 loss to No. 2-ranked regional host Trinity.
The Comets (now 15-4-3) managed just 11 shots in the contest, collecting just four shots on goal as they were shut out for just the fourth time this season. Host Trinity (now 20-2) struck quickly, tallying in the fourth minute and never looked back and they have not eliminated the Comets in each of their fourth trips to the national tournament.
Trinity opened the scoring at the 3:54 mark into the first half as Daniel Ruano scored off a deflection by UTD keeper
Joseph Weber of a Derrick Horvath. Ruano's one-time lifted the Tigers to a fast 1-0 advantage. Trinity added to its lead in the 23rd minute when Christian Sakshaug stole the ball deep in the Comet end off a clearance attempt and drilled a shot past Weber. The Tigers completed the scoring in the 66th minute on a Ryan Hunter unassisted tally.
Weber ended the game with seven saves, matching a season high, while giving up all three goals in a full 90-minute outing.

Isaac Urcuyo each accounted for three shots for the Comets.
The Tigers finished with 22 shots, 10 on goal. Horvath took a game-high four shots.
