RICHARDSON, TX (10.29.16) - The No. 4-ranked UT Dallas volleyball team picked up its fourth win over a nationally ranked opponent Saturday as the Comets rolled to 3-0 victory over No. 24-ranked Hendrix as both teams wrapped up the regular season.

The Comets (now 26-1) completed a perfect 11-0 record at home this season, without dropping a single set,and will take a 21-match winning streak into next week's American Southwest Conference in Belton. UTD enters the tournament as the East Division's top seed and will have a first-round bye. The Comets play winner of an opening round match between Hardin-Simmons and East Texas State at 5 pm Thursday in Mary Hardin-Baylor's Mayborn Campus Center.

The Comets finished the 2016 regular season 4-1 against teams ranked in the national Top 25 poll.

Abbie Barth led the Comets with 15 kills and a .351 hitting percentage, while adding 10 digs and a pair of aces, and Dylan Brinkman finished with 12 kills and a team-high 14 digs in the short win, though Hendrix threatened every match. UTD hit .235 for the match, narrowly edging the Warriors, who hit .210 with 41 kills.

Caroline Shecterle and Fayna Zang combined for 33 assists.
