Jala Tousant scored in the eighth minute of the first overtime period to lift the UT Dallas women's soccer team to a 2-1 road win over Concordia Texas Friday afternoon in American Southwest Conference play.
The Comets picked up their sixth straight win and fifth consecutive victory to open the ASC schedule against CTX while junior
Melissa Fulfer was involved in both UTD scores. Trailing 1-0 early in the game, Fulfer netted her team-leading eighth tally of the season in the 21st minute, an unassisted breakaway, and then had the assist on Tousant's game-winner.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
The Comets finished the match with a 22-13 shot advantage over CTX, amassing 10 shots on frame in the victory. The Tornados' six shots on goal matched the most allowed by UTD this season.
Fulfer now leads the Comets in both goals (8) and assists (8) and continues to climb up UTD's career leader lists. She now has 23 career goals for the Comets as a junior, moving into a tie for 10th place all-time. Fulfer now has 26 career assists in her three seasons with the program, moving her into third place in that category. She currently ranks seventh all-time with 72 points.

Jacquie Kaufman,

Mandy Avalos each took two shots. Fulfer was a team-high three shots on frame.
