RICHARDSON, TX (09.08.17) - The UT Dallas women's soccer team improved to 3-0 to start the season after posting a 2-0 whitewash of visiting Concordia University Chicago Friday night at the UTD Soccer Field.
After a scoreless first half, freshman
Keely Fillman picked up her first collegiate goal on a 20-yard shot out of the reach of the Concordia keeper in the 55th minute, assisted by junior
Jessica Rusk. Junior
Melissa Fulfer then scored for the second time this season with just 10 seconds remaining on a counterattack up the middle, assisted by
Jacquie Kaufman.
CUC remained winless on the season at 0-4.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
UTD launched a 29-shot attack on the Cougars, putting 12 shots on goal. CUC keeper Allyson Krajnak made 10 saves. UTD counterpart
Monica Dallacasa only had to make one stop as the Cougars were credited with just six total shots. UTD held a 6-2 advantage in corner kick opportunities.
KEY PLAYERS:
Kaufman, Fulfer and Rusk combined for 14 shots, putting six on goal.
Maya Fuller and Fillman, both freshmen, had  three each.
