ABILENE, TEXAS (09.08.17) - The UT Dallas men's soccer team was handed its second loss of the season Saturday afternoon as the Comets dropped a 2-1 decision to No. 12-ranked Trinity on the campus of Hardin-Simmons.
The nationally ranked Tigers got on the board early with a goal in the sixth minute, but
Alfredo Kaegi tallied the equalizer in the in the 21st minute to knot the game, 1-1, going into halftime. Trinity regained the lead in the 73rd minute and Tiger keeper Blake Lieberman saved a Kaegi penalty kick less than a minute later to seal the win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
The Tigers finished with a slight shot advantage over UTD, 10-8, with both Lieberman and Comet keeper
Chase Therrien making four saves in complete 90-minute performances. Kaegi took a game-high four shots, three on goal.
